HAVEN CUSTOM HOMES UNVEILS NEW MODEL HOMES WITH GRAND OPENING EVENT AT OVERLOOK AT BATTERY CREEK
BEAUFORT, S.C. – Haven Custom Homes, in conjunction with PEC Development, celebrated the completion of its model homes at Overlook at Battery Creek with a grand opening event that benefited Beaufort's Regional Chamber of Commerce. The event, which included a tour of the community's The Oyster House club facility and amenities, provided guests with information on Haven Custom Homes' unique modular construction methods and the four new homes in various stages of development within the Beaufort, S.C., community.

More than 125 guests attended the grand opening event and enjoyed food, refreshments and great door prizes throughout the evening. During the event, Haven Custom Homes showcased its two completed homes – the Orleans and Sumter home designs. Both homes were built in the company's climate-controlled, state-of-the-art production facility in Ridgeland, S.C., and transported to the Overlook community nearly 80 percent complete.
As a proponent of responsible building for responsible living, Haven Custom Homes is currently in the process of having both homes reviewed for ENERGY STAR and EarthCraft House™ certification, which will designate the homes as models for energy efficiency and healthy living. The home, which was designed in modular fashion by Beaufort-based Eric Moser, is a reflection of the rich architecture seen in historic Southern neighborhoods. A covered front porch leads guests into the home where they are greeted by a traditional parlor room. The kitchen, gathering area, office and living room, all of which overlook the rear porch and outdoor living area, comprise the remaining space on the first floor. Upstairs the home features an owner's suite with bathroom, two additional bedrooms, a bathroom and covered porch overlooking the neighborhood. With a total of 2,466 square feet, the Orleans represents Southern living and architectural design at its finest.
Haven Custom Homes' Sumter home was also unveiled at the grand opening event. Designed by Allison Ramsey Architects, the home features a sweeping front porch leading to the home's 2,262 square feet of living space. The first floor of the homes contains dining and living rooms, breakfast nook, kitchen area and owner's suite, which grants access to the rear porch and backyard. The second story loft features two additional bedrooms, a bath and a spacious loft area.
