Russell Versaci is a master of traditional design, an award-winning residential architect, and the leader of the "new old house" movement in America. He is the author of Creating a New Old House (Taunton Press-AIA 2003), and the new Roots of Home (Taunton Press 2008).
Versaci has long been a champion of the use of factory fabrication as a way to make high quality traditional homes accessible and affordable. In his editorial column for New Old House magazine, he outlined this approach in Back to Basics (Winter 2009).
In his new book, Versaci tells the story of America's classic home styles from colonial days to the present and introduces the ten Colonial Cradles - the regions where America's unique house styles were born. The Colonial Cradles are the basis for two Versaci
home design collections.
View Simple Farmhouse designsThe houses in the Simple Farmhouse Portfolio range from 1600-3200 square feet, and they are available as modular homes or factory fabricated kits of parts to be assembled at the home site.

Coming in 2009, the Simple Cottage Sampler is a new collection of small homes designed specifically for modular building. The cottages range from 450-900 square feet but can be increased in size by adding modular units. The designs all share the same modular construction framework for easy transport and quick assembly.
