Haven is well versed in the latest technologies and can rate our homes to the most recognizable green certification program standards to include LEED for Homes, National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Green Builder Program, ENERGY STAR, and EarthCraft Home.
ENERGY STAR.
The program most widely known by consumers; second in positive consumer recognition to the "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval". These homes are 15% more efficient than IRC code and generally 20-30% more efficient than standard homes. Every Haven Home is ENERGY STAR ready when it leaves our production facility.
NAHB Green Building Program.
Haven is building a show home in South Carolina that will promote the standards of this newly introduced program.
LEED for Homes.
Haven Custom Homes was recognized in 2008 by the U.S. Green Building Council as a builder participating on a home in New Orleans that will meet LEED Gold Standard.
EarthCraft House Program.
Haven Custom Homes is an EarthCraft House Certified Builder. We have had homes certified in several states. Each of these homes has demonstrated a 20-30% greater energy performance that a traditional site-built home.
